Aquino Tank Weekend 2026 is just around the corner! Hunt for our POTA station from June 12 to 14!
Aquino Tank Weekend has become an annual event that many of our members jump at the opportunity to be involved with. After all when you mix radio, tanks, other military vehicles, re-enactments and food what more could you ask for?!
This year the event takes place from Friday, June 12 through Sunday, June 14, 2026. We will operate from approximately 0900 to 1700 EST daily and will spot ourselves on the POTA website when we are up and running on those days. Our club call, VE3NSR (North Shore Radio), will be used and we will be activating Airmen’s Park aka POTA park CA-5535.
This activation is part of a large military special event put on by the Canadian Tank Museum formerly known as the Ontario Regiment Museum. They have the largest collection of operational historical military vehicles in the world. Suffice it to say it is a lot of fun with restored military vehicles from around the world on display, tank rides and battle re-enactments including the firing of artillery, tanks, small arms, etc. Of course they are all blanks but the sound is authentic.
