The CIBC Run for the Cure is an annual walk/run event held each October that is focused on raising awareness for and changing the face of breast cancer in Canada. Many individuals participate in the Run for the Cure to support a family member or friend who has been touched by breast cancer. The event draws those of all ages and fitness levels to raise awareness of a great cause. As you can see from our photos, even man’s best friend comes out for this event!
The North Shore Amateur Radio Club has been assisting the Run For the Cure in Oshawa Ontario with their annual event for several years now. NSARC members help volunteers man checkpoints along the route and provide instant communications with the control area should any issues arise.
Below are some of the photos of the Run for the Cure events throughout the years.
