A long time ago, before COVID messed up the world, we used to meet at a local Tim’s on Wednesday nights to chat, ask questions, show off new equipment, etc. When COVID came along we got chased out of the restaurant so we set up shop in a quiet parking lot, broke out the lawn chairs, and practiced safe 144MHz distancing while still have a great social outing. Well, it started to get darker sooner and the cold temps sent in so we decided to take the parking lot meeting virtual. So, with the help of Zoom, we now have a virtual meeting every Wednesday evening starting at 7pm. Originally, there were only scheduled to be an hour long but now they continue until everyone leaves. Most times that is between 9:00 and 9:30pm but they have gone on as late as 11:00pm. The nice thing about Zoom is that you can share your screen and give mini presentations to the rest of the group. This is very informal and, like our Rag Chew on the radio, just about any topic is discussed. So, if you think this sounds interesting to you feel free to drop Laird VE3LKS and email and ask to be added to our Friends list so that you receive the weekly invites on Wednesday mornings.
