Next weekend our NSARC, SPARC, and WARC members (and their friends + families) will be visiting the Hammond Museum of Radio and the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum on Saturday, October 21, 2017.
As of today we have 21 people joining us on the trip. We are still looking for any last minute interest from any club members. Alexander VE3ZSH will be at the NSARC meeting on October 17 to collect deposits. If you have any questions, please send him an email at contact@nycroth.com.
Our day will begin bright and early. The Hammond Museum of Radio has offered to provide a light lunch of sandwiches, drinks, and fruit. We will also bring fruit, water, and granola bars for snacks. The bus has plenty of overhead space to put bags, so packing a lunch is also an option and recommended. Please remember to bring the rest of your transportation cost (either $20 or $30 depending on if you managed to get the deposit in to Alex before the day of) with you on Saturday morning.
Pick-up and drop-off is at the GO stations of Oshawa, Whitby, and Pickering in the bus loop (same place to catch a city bus).
If you’re getting picked up at:
Oshawa GO, arrive for 7:00am.
Whitby GO, arrive for 7:30am.
Pickering GO, arrive for 8:00am.

7:30am Depart Oshawa GO Station
7:45am Depart Whitby GO Station
8:15am Depart Pickering GO Station
10:00am Arrive at Hammond Museum of Radio
- Tour for around 2 and a bit hours
- Snack of sandwiches, drinks, and fruit at the end
12:45pm Depart Hammond Museum of Radio
2:00pm Arrive at Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum
- Tour the museum for 3 hours
- We have 2 tour guides available for groups
5:00pm Depart for home
7:00pm Drop off at Pickering GO Station
7:15pm Drop off at Whitby GO Station
7:30pm Drop off at Oshawa GO Station
