Imagine sitting listening to Chamberlain & Churchill’s WWII radio broadcasts on an original radio from a Lancaster bomber. Imagine hearing children & others talking of their experiences. Enough to hush any room. The setup used recordings broadcast very low power & short range to a Lancaster radio. We are so lucky to have had those brave men & women who won the war for us. We must always give thanks.
Also on display was a relay, 24 hour clock, & a parachute radio. We finished the meeting on a lighter note by watching a video of the Comedian Hancock as a Ham Radio operator receiving his first emergency call. Ham Radio is the original social network – great people.
